Is this a real gemstone?

Yes. Moissanite is a genuine gemstone — not glass, not cubic zirconia. It's grown in a lab rather than mined, and it disperses more light than a diamond, which is why it sparkles so intensely. At 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, it's one of the hardest gemstones on earth.

Will it tarnish or lose its sparkle?

The stone never clouds, fades or scratches with normal wear — its brilliance is permanent. The S925 sterling silver setting simply needs the usual care: keep it away from water, perfume and chemicals, and store it in its pouch.
